A merchant app by Foodics
Tanar POS turns a Saudi shop owner's Android phone into the point of sale. Customers tap their card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on the phone itself, so there is no card terminal to rent. Onboarding with Foodics Pay happens in the same app. No branch visit. No paperwork.
In short
Your phone is the POS and the card reader. Eight steps take you from proving who you are to your first tap.
The real flow
This is the flow as it ran end to end on a real Android phone, on staging, ending with a real card tapped on that phone. Scroll, and the phone walks you through it with the app's own screens and words.
Screens rebuilt from the app. Names and numbers on them are examples.
Open Tanar POS and tap Start onboarding. There is no branch to visit and no paperwork to bring.
Enter your National ID or Iqama. Nafath, Saudi Arabia's national digital identity app, shows you three numbers. You pick the one Tanar POS shows you and approve. One approval, and you are verified.
Tanar POS reads the business register, Wathq from the Ministry of Commerce, for your National ID and lists your commercial registrations. You pick one. Working under a freelance licence? That is supported too.
Your National Address arrives already filled in from the register. You add the IBAN you want to be paid into, and the account is checked with your bank.
See your rates before you sign. Then sign the Foodics Pay merchant agreement with SignIt e-signature, without leaving the app. Your sealed copy is stored on your account.
One tap sends your application to Foodics Pay, and the app updates by itself while it is open. Once you're approved, one more tap turns on Tap to Pay for this phone.
Foodics Pay emails you a link to set your password. Set it, then sign in with Foodics Pay.
Key in the amount and charge. Pick NFC Tap to Pay, and your customer holds their card, Apple Pay or Google Pay near your phone. The phone reads it, with no terminal, and the receipt goes out by WhatsApp, SMS or email.
What it stands on
Onboarding, signing and selling happen in one app, on the owner's phone.
Customers tap a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on the owner's phone. The phone reads it, so there is no card terminal to rent.
The licensed payments partner reviews and approves each merchant. Once you're approved, Tap to Pay turns on for the phone.
National-grade identity. The owner proves who they are with one approval in Nafath.
Commercial registrations come from Wathq at the Ministry of Commerce, so nobody types them in. Freelance licences work too.
The Foodics Pay merchant agreement is signed with SignIt, with the rates in view before signing.
Both languages throughout the app, with Arabic laid out right to left.
National ID or Iqama, commercial registration numbers, the National Address, and IBANs that start with SA.
Built with Foodics Pay
Proven in testing on a real Android phone: a real card tapped on the phone, and a SAR 1 sale approved. Foodics Pay, the licensed payments partner, reviews and approves each merchant.
